Civil Engineer Full-Time

Job Description

Civil Engineers will communicate directly with clients, subcontractors, utilities, municipalities and design team as the project requires.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, be licensed as a professional engineer in Washington State (or eligible for reciprocity), and have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

The applicants' resume should clearly demonstrate specific experience and level of responsibility in one or more of the areas listed above, include a list of and experience level with computer programs, and provide at least two professional references with contact information.

Successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to be self-directed; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; ability to meet budgets and schedules; and willingness to learn and teach.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for planning, design, and management of projects in one or more of the following areas:

  • Civil site development including: grading, storm drainage, roads, utility layout and design, and applicable regulations and permitting

  • Water system planning and design

  • Municipal Engineering

  • Structural analysis and design (wood-frame, reinforced concrete, steel)

  • Forensic engineering and failure analysis

Civil Engineer-in-Training Full-Time

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, have certification (or in process of attaining) as an Engineer-In-Training in Washington State (or eligible for reciprocity), and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university

  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification, or in the process of attaining

  • Two to five years of engineering or equivalent experience

  • Experience with AutoCAD is required

  • Experience with Civil 3D (preferred)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

  • Understanding of surveying and engineering principals

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills

  • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goal

Responsibilities

The candidate will be able to collaborate with the engineering team and support projects through phases of planning, design and drafting in one or more of the following areas:

  • Prepare drafts for plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, specifications, and cost estimates for projects using company and area standards

  • Prepare record drawings

  • Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub consultant coordination

  • Work with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects

  • Conduct field visits

  • Identify project specific design requirements using applicable codes

  • Search for and compile design and reference information from various sources

Administration Full-Time / Part-Time

Job Description

Staff Administration positions for Accounts Payable and Receivable are currently filled.  You are still invited to submit your resume for review. If your skills meet qualifications, you may be notified to apply if a position opens within 6 months of receiving your resume.

The successful candidate must be open to managing administrative operations, while also supporting a CFO and senior leaders with Client relations, accounts and project operations, municipal, state and federal reporting, company marketing and website editing, accounts payable and receivable bookkeeping, company reports and spreadsheets, answering emails and phone lines, scheduling/managing calendar, writing correspondence and more.

Candidates must have an Associate’s degree or equivalent administrative and/or bookkeeping experience.  Proficiency required in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and accounting software. Website editing in Word Press a plus.  Position will be best served by a resourceful individual with excellent communication skills, who is detail oriented, with a desire to learn and enjoys working in a team environment.
